Middle Ocmulgee Water Planning Region
The Middle Ocmulgee Water Planning Region covers an area of approximately 3,547 square miles in middle Georgia and includes parts of three major river basins-Ocmulgee, Oconee, and Flint. In 2005, an estimated population of 526,689 (6 percent of the State's population), lived in the twelve counties of the area including Bibb, Butts, Crawford, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Newton, Peach, Pulaski, and Twiggs.
