Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District
The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District covers an area of approximately 4,929 square miles in northern Georgia and includes parts of six major river basins-Chattahoochee, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Flint, Ocmulgee, and Oconee. In 2005, an estimated population of 4,516,958 (50 percent of the State's population) live in the fifteen counties of the area including Bartow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale.
