Middle Chattahoochee Water Planning Region
The Middle Chattahoochee Water Planning Region covers an area of approximately 3,751 square miles in western Georgia and includes parts of four major river basins-Tallapoosa, Chattahoochee, Coosa and Flint. In 2005, an estimated population of 452,782 (5 percent of the State's population), lived in the eleven counties of the area including Carroll, Chattahoochee, Clay, Haralson, Harris, Heard, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Stewart, and Troup.
