Coastal Georgia Water Planning Region
The Coastal Georgia Water Planning Region covers an area of approximately 4,488 square miles in southeastern Georgia and includes parts of five major river basins-Altamaha, Ogeechee, Savannah, Satilla, and St. Mary's. In 2005, an estimated population of 572,665 (6 percent of the State's population), lived in the nine counties of the area including Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh.
