Microbial Contamination of Water Resources in the
Chattahoochee
National Recreation Area, Georgia
|
Data were collected from March 22, 1999 to April 2, 2000. The links on this page allow you to view data tables or download
data in tab-delimited files. Organic wastewater tracer data are not available online. (1) Fixed-interval sites: Fecal-indicator bacteria (fecal coliform, E. coli, and enterococci), turbidity, and field paramters (stage, specific conductance, water and air temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and percent saturation) measured every five days during the summer recreation season (April 1- September 30) and every 8 days from October 1, 1999 to March 30, 2000 at three main stem Chattahoochee River sites. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area sampling sites:
(2) Synoptic surveys: - Fecal-indicator bacteria (including Clostridium perfringens), F-specific and somatic coliphages, turbidity, field parameters, and organic wastewater tracers were measured during different hydrologic conditions at four main stem Chattahoochee River sites and 8 sites on streams tributary to the Chattahoochee River.
(3) Diel samples: - Fecal-indicator bacteria, turbidity, field parameters, and nutrients measured every 2 hours for a 26-hour period at the Chattahoochee River at Atlanta. Nutrient data are available in downloadable files.
