Georgia Agricultural Water Conservation and Metering Program, 2010County Information
Irrigated acres: the amount of metered acres that received irrigation during 2010. NS indicates that either (1) metered and irrigated acres are not reported to preserve the anonymity of individual farms or, (2) the number of metered irrigation systems is insufficient for statistical analysis. The total amount of irrigated acres for a given county during 2010 would include nonmetered irrigated acres as well as metered irrigated acres. This web site does not account for nonmetered irrigated acres. Therefore, the total amount of irrigated acres for a given county would exceed the number of metered irrigated acres represented on this web site. Irrigated usage by county
Irrigation usage for Grady, Marion, Muscogee, Peach, Quitman, Schley, Stewart, and Turner Counties—the eight counties that list NS for irrigated and metered acres in the previous bar chart and data table—are not included here. Either the metered or irrigated acres for these counties are not reported to preserve the anonymity of individual farms, or the number of metered irrigation systems is insufficient for statistical analysis. Likewise, average irrigation usage and depth are not represented for these counties in bar charts shown on this web page. Irrigation usage and irrigated acres catalogued by the metering program for these counties were included, however, in the percentages of irrigation usage and irrigated acres by source that are shown on pie charts on this web page.
