Special Studies Data

Special Studies Data

The study design for the ACF River basin study was modified to include four special studies:
  1. Surface Water Synoptic Studies - These are land use focus studies typically involving many sites located within a targeted landuse area and sampled in a few days or less. You can view and retrieve water-quality data collected as part of these synoptics by selecting the links in the following list:

  2. Reservoirs - Sediment cores were collected from six of the major reservoirs for the purpose of defining historic changes in sediment quality within each reservoir and differences between each reservoir.

  3. Flint River Flooding - Record flooding occured along the Flint River during July 1994 as a result of rainfall produced by Tropical Storm Alberto.

  4. Recovery of fish communities following a catastrophic event - The record flooding caused by Tropical Storm Alberto provided an opportunity to document the recovery of fish communities at Lime Creek following a catastrophic event.
More information about the special studies is available.
